iws-autodrain-standard
IWS Autodrain Standard

Healthy, High Yield Hand Watering

Ideal for optimising home growing. The IWS Autodrain Standard is an optimal choice for those who prefer to hand water but wish to avoid overwatering plants or manually remove run-off after. If you are considering investing in your first system, the Autodrain is a great option. This system allows you to easily pump excess water to waste, preventing your plants from sitting in nutrient solution. As a result, your plants are encouraged to search for water, leading to rapid growth in the root zone. Plus, the system allows for easy monitoring of EC and pH levels to fine tune your feeding.
This modular system is highly flexible, allowing the Control Unit to collect run-off from any number of plants as needed, and redirect it for disposal. Additionally, it enables the monitoring of pH and EC levels in the run-off, ensuring plants receive the perfect amount of nutrient.

How does it work?

Auto-drain effectively eliminates excess run-off, effectively preventing root rot, promoting optimal nutrient uptake and growth, and significantly decreasing the likelihood of crop-destroying problems such as Pythium. The Auto-drain Control Unit collects this run-off and automatically pumps it to waste once it reaches the lower float.

Why use auto-drain?

Prevent Overwatering

Auto-drain Systems prevent root diseases and reduced oxygen availability in the root zone by automatically draining excess water from the growing medium, mitigating the negative impacts of over watering.

Monitoring efficient nutrient delivery

The Auto-drain Systems enable users to monitor run-off volume, as well as EC and pH levels, to ensure the most effective absorption of nutrients.

Oxygenation of roots

Similar to Flood & Drain Systems, Auto-drain Systems also aid in oxygenating the root zone. By draining excess water, air pockets are created around the roots, preventing suffocation and promoting the growth of healthy roots.

Time saving

By automating the drainage process, manual intervention is minimized, resulting in time and labour saved for growers. This is especially crucial in large-scale indoor growing operations, where managing each plant individually is not feasible.

Consistency

Auto-drain Systems help ensure consistent growing conditions for all plants.

Scalability

Auto-drain Systems can easily be scaled to accommodate different size growing operations.

About this system

The IWS Auto-drain Standard is ideal for growers with under 24 pots, looking to add some automation to their grow room.
